Laazya: Terms of use

Welcome to Laazya. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer,” “User,” or “You”) and Laazya (“We,” “Our,” or “Us”). They govern your use of our website, digital platforms, and services relating to the purchase of our handwoven textiles, apparel, and home décor products.

 

By browsing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not access or use our services.

 

1. User Eligibility and Account Responsibility

1.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable law.
1.2 Account Creation: To access certain features, you may be required to register with accurate details including name, email address, shipping address, and payment information.
1.3 Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account. Laazya shall not be held liable for any loss or misuse due to failure to safeguard account details.
1.4 Information Accuracy: All details provided at the time of purchase must be true and correct. Orders placed with incorrect or incomplete information may be delayed or canceled at our discretion.

 

2. Products and Artisanal Nature

2.1 Authenticity: All Laazya products are sourced from traditional weavers and artisans across India. Each piece is handwoven, ensuring uniqueness and cultural heritage.
2.2 Variations: Minor irregularities in weave, texture, or color are inherent to handloom products. Such variations are not defects but rather a hallmark of authenticity and craftsmanship.
2.3 Descriptions: While we make every effort to describe and photograph products accurately, screen resolutions, lighting, and handwoven differences may result in slight variations. Laazya does not guarantee absolute accuracy in colors or textures.

 

3. Orders and Acceptance

3.1 Order Placement: Orders can be placed through our official website. Once an order is placed and payment is confirmed, you will receive an order confirmation email.
3.2 Acceptance: All orders are subject to acceptance by Laazya. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order due to unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.
3.3 Cancellations: Due to the international nature of our shipping, cancellations are allowed only within 12 hours of placing the order. After this window, no cancellations will be accepted.

 

4. International Shipping and Delivery

4.1 Shipping Coverage: Laazya ships globally. Delivery times and costs depend on the destination country and will be communicated at checkout.
4.2 Customs & Duties: Customers are solely responsible for customs clearance, duties, taxes, or import regulations applicable in their country. Delays caused by customs are outside Laazya’s control.
4.3 Delivery Timelines: Estimated delivery timelines are provided as guidance only. Unforeseen delays due to logistics, customs, or force majeure are not the responsibility of Laazya.
4.4 Risk of Loss: Once products are dispatched from our facility, the risk of loss or damage passes to the customer.

 

5. No Return / No Exchange Policy

5.1 Final Sale: All products sold by Laazya are final sale. Due to international shipping logistics and the unique handcrafted nature of our products, we maintain a strict no return, no exchange policy.
5.2 Damaged Parcels: In the rare case where a parcel is damaged in transit:

Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@laazya.com
with photographs of the damaged package and product.

Claims will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Compensation, if approved, will not exceed the original product value.
5.3 Incorrect Size/Color Perception: As handwoven fabrics may vary slightly in texture, weave, and shade, such differences shall not qualify as grounds for return or exchange.

 

6. Pricing and Payments

6.1 Currency: All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated. Conversion rates applied by banks or payment providers are outside Laazya’s control.
6.2 Additional Charges: Customers are responsible for all bank fees, credit card charges, or foreign transaction fees incurred.
6.3 Payment Security: Payments must be completed at checkout through secure gateways. Laazya does not store your financial details.

 

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 All content on the Laazya website—including product descriptions, images, designs, brand name, logo, and graphics—are the intellectual property of Laazya.
7.2 Unauthorized use, reproduction, distribution, or modification of our materials without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

 

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Laazya shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

Shipping delays caused by logistics providers or customs authorities.

Variations in product characteristics inherent to handcrafted goods.

Misuse or negligence on the part of the customer.
8.2 Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total value of the product purchased.

 

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.

 

10. Amendments to Terms

Laazya reserves the right to modify, update, or amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our website and services after changes signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
